Section 12a and 80g under the Income Tax Act, 1961
Registration of section 12a and section 80g is mandatory for every ngo for availing tax exemptions. By the approval of section 12a, the life time tax of the non government organization gets exempted. In case of form 10BE also, the last date for issuing a certificate to the donor in Form 10BE is 31st May immediately following the closing of the financial year in which the donation was received.
CSR1 registration or corporate social responsibility certificate
CSR1 certificate is essential for all categories of non-government organizations no matter if it is trust, society or section 8 company or registered under any act for doing charitable activities.
